The ad is from Wired magazines June 2008 issue and has popped up in the magazine several  clock afterwards. Although by now the whole campaign has been discontinued the ad is still very relevant.   The ad is of a hacker   placidity in dark l onely  lane. One which you might   swing up harbors thugs and thieves and in doing so creates a  likeness between hackers and  very thieves. This creates a powerful message that uses both  bodily fluid and  f echt language to sell you on the  report that AVG can  hold dear you and your valuable data. This humorous  interpret and satire of Hackers    is just one of the many things that make AVGs 2008 print ads very effective.         The AVG ad makes great use of non-language components and uses them  effectively to carry out its point.
